RPStaffing is conducting an immediate confidential search for an Operations Specialist fluent in English & Spanish or Portuguese to work with a global conservation organization in Arlington, VA. This opportunity is hybrid.

Job Title : Operations Specialist
Status : Temporary 3-month contract
Weekly Schedule : This is a full-time position, 35 hours/week
Onsite Status: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week, 2days remote
Office Location : Arlington, VA
Salary : $20 hourly

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Act independently within broad program goals to prioritize tasks in the absence of specific instructions and exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems.
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
- May be responsible for the work of peers on departmental project teams.
- Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements; Decisions may bind the organization financially or legally.
- Financial responsibility includes purchasing, processing invoices, and negotiating and contracting with vendors.
- Manage projects with several variables - set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, and ensure accountability.
- May participate in complex negotiations.
- Provide input through project teams for the development and implementation of new initiatives or the improvement of existing programs.
- May provide specialized legal support as needed.
- Ensure legal commitments, TNC policies and procedures, and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.
- Draft and revise legal documents for review by attorney.
- Independently drafts well-written memoranda, correspondence, and legal documents and revise, as necessary.
- Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guideline.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data.
- Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
- Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience with MS Office, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating with a wide range of people.
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.
- Ability to work a flexible and/or shifted schedule to accommodate differing time zones.
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated.
- Ability to implement complex processes.
- Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results, including PeopleSoft, Concur, Engage360, and Insight.
- Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff.
- Experience coordinating projects.
- Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results.
- Knowledge of current legal trends.
- Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks; and/or
- Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.
