Application Engineer

Minimum 5 Years experience as a Application Engineer

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Application Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Brighton, MI

Requirements of the Application Engineer

Minimum 5 years application engineering experience in line processing, assembly systems, robots and related industry.

With experience of:

Conveyance, Index tables,

Fastening, riveting, and other mechanical jointing equipment,

Pick/place, feeding, testing equipment,

MIG, spot, resistance, and laser welding equipment

Sales

Application engineering

Mechanical engineering

Electrical engineering

Operations

Ability to write a comprehensive description of the proposed solution so that a layperson could understand and that our engineering team can clearly understand the scope of quoted work.

Address all the customer concerns and requirements within the organization.

Capable to conduct proposal meetings

Demonstrated experience with an engineering team, in a team environment.

Must have a professional appearance and attitude in an interculture organization and with global customer base.

Responsibilities of the Application Engineer

• Participate in SOR/RFQ review meetings, on-site or in-house to determine next steps
• Develop customer specifications library and understand cost drivers
• Develop Tech Review process to be used as a communication tool
• Communicate with customers on specific requirements and provide all necessary follow-up support with the customer and to internal departments
• Develop and maintain cycle time standards with Engineering based on previous projects/applications for the typical automated processes
• Develop concept building blocks for budgetary quotes (PPT)
• Develop CAD model database to quickly create concepts in 3D/2D CAD environment
• Standardized DWG/SolidWorks components
• Prepare technical calculations or utilize resources as required to support concepts
• Collaborate with other departments as required for technical assistance in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements
