Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated + enthusiastic Architectural Designer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a strong passion for architecture + design, excellent organizational skills, + a desire to grow within the field. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting residential projects, contributing to the design process while developing essential skills in architectural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Support: Assist in the development of architectural designs, including conceptual + detailed work, under the direct guidance of the Principal Architect.
- Construction Drawings: Learn to assemble and prepare comprehensive sets of construction drawings, ensuring accuracy, + adherence to design standards.
- Project Coordination: Help coordinate project details, manage documentation, + maintain clear communication with team members + clients.
- Research and Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, building codes, + best practices. Show a willingness to continuously learn + apply new skills.
- SketchUp Proficiency: Utilize SketchUp software to create + modify 3D models + visualizations, demonstrating above-average proficiency.
- Creativity and Problem-Solving: Contribute creative ideas + solutions that enhance the design + functionality of residential projects.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain meticulous organization of project files, drawings, + documentation to ensure efficiency + accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Architecture: A genuine enthusiasm for modern / minimalist residential design, with a strong desire to learn + grow in the field.
- Education: A degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required.
- Skills: Above-average proficiency in SketchUp software is essential. Familiarity with other design tools + software is a plus.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks + maintain a high level of detail over the length of a project.
- Creativity: Demonstrated creativity in design and problem-solving. An interest in music or art is a desirable secondary trait.
- Communication: Good verbal + written communication skills.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in California.
