JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is partnering with a Boutique Law firm based in San Diego and seeking an Associate Attorney to join the law firm. The Ideal candidate will have experience working at a Boutique Law firm that specializes in Criminal Defense and Personal injury. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in criminal defense and personal injury law, possess excellent legal writing and courtroom skills, and be ready to take ownership of cases with guidance from senior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities :

Criminal Defense

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony cases in state and/or federal court.

• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and memoranda.

• Handle arraignments, pretrial hearings, plea negotiations, and trials.

• Work closely with clients, investigators, and experts to develop defense strategies. Personal Injury • Manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury matters (e.g., car accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death).

• Conduct client intake, investigations, and negotiations with insurance companies.

• Prepare demand letters, file lawsuits, handle discovery, and attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings.

• Participate in trial preparation and courtroom litigation when necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the CA State Bar.

• 0–3+ years of experience in criminal law or personal injury preferred, but motivated recent grads will be considered.

• Strong oral advocacy, writing, and research skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
