Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Coatesville, PA
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Position Type: Full-Time, School Year Contract
Position Overview: The RBT will implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and collaborate closely with educators and therapy teams to support the student's academic and behavioral development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill development and behavioral growth.
- Provide direct ABA therapy in both individual and group settings, adhering to established protocols and strategies.
- Record data on the student’s behaviors, interventions, and progress with accuracy and consistency.
- Support the use of the student's communication device to encourage language and social skill development.
- Apply positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to manage frustration, aggression, and other behavioral challenges.
- Ensure safety by intervening when necessary to prevent self-injurious or aggressive behaviors, maintaining a secure environment for the student and others.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the student's educational and behavioral needs are met effectively.
- Assist with classroom activities to promote engagement and participation.
- Provide personal care support, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance when required.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with parents and school staff, actively participating in meetings and discussions regarding the student’s progress.
- Continuously report and provide feedback to the BCBA on student progress and behavioral observations.
Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience working with children with autism and/or behavioral challenges is preferred.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Ability to implement BIPs and manage challenging behaviors in a professional manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with the student, family, and school staff.
- Ability to accurately collect and record behavioral data .
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
- Physical ability to assist the student with mobility if necessary.

- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- PA Criminal Clearance
- PA FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- TB Test Results/Physical Examination
- Diploma or Transcripts of Highest Education
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Mandated Reporter Training
