Business Analyst
Location: Elgin, IL (100% onsite)
Engagement: Full-Time, Permanent
Overview:
We seek a skilled Business Analyst to join an innovative digital technology team in a global manufacturing environment. This role focuses on collaborating with key stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and support data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
- Liaise between business teams and technical staff to ensure requirements are effectively translated and implemented.
- Analyze data and generate insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with data engineers and stakeholders to develop robust data models and reporting solutions.
- Support dashboard/report development for business leadership using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Document workflows, functional requirements, and change impacts for new systems or enhancements.
- Help with test planning and validation to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions.
- Contribute to change management planning and post-implementation success tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in Service, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain domains.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and solving business challenges using data and technology.
- Proficiency with tools like SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Visio, and Balsamiq.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as JIRA or MS Project.
- Understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and database concepts.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business goals and technical solutions through clear communication and documentation.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
