Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The CAD/BIM Detailer will assist in the day-to-day drawing layout, drawing detailing, project browser organization, and drawing plotting of data center construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination and detailing in 3D electrical systems with other trades/installations using AutoCAD, Trimble, Navisworks, and Revit software for prefabrication and installation.
- Creates, plots, and distributes 2D prefabrication and installation drawings.
- Layout of points on site used for installation utilizing a Trimble Robotic Total Station.
- Communicates with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure notification of all discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, BIM technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a CAD Detailer or BIM Modeler with a focus on electrical systems in construction projects.
- Experience with commercial projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
- Understanding of relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
