Aston Carter is partnered with a CPG company in Downtown Chicago that is looking for a Category Manager. Due to growth, they are adding new talent to their Category Management department.
- Lead the end-to-end management of assigned categories from strategy to execution in order to meet Home Chef's financial and operational goals
- Develop and maintain category strategy
- Own the identification, evaluation, and choice of suppliers for category
- Coordinate, negotiate, and manage RFPs with both new and current suppliers
- Conduct supply market analysis and collect supplier intelligence to drive sourcing process
- Work closely with culinary team to identify new ingredient needs and test new suppliers for quality control
- Coordinate with Cross-Functional Partners to ensure all new suppliers meet Home Chef guidelines and expectations
- Work with Procurement Operations, Warehouse and site teams to improve supply chain performance
- Collaborate with local sites and supplier partners to problem-solve regular supply disruptions and secure product in time for weekly meal production
- Attend industry conferences to identify new trends, suppliers and/or ingredients
- Generate, prioritize and implement new product ideas
Qualifications - Completion of a four-year degree program in a related field
- 2-5 years of Category Management Experience
- Excellent communication, both oral and written
- Strong data and numerical orientation
- Proven project management experience
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Data-driven mindset and comfort with analysis
Hours 8-5 PM
Monday - Friday
