CDL Driver Trainer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include Training New Drivers, as well as driving Over the Road

• Instruct and monitor new Drivers who have signed on to be an Over the Road Driver.
• Observe and evaluate New Driver's Over the Road Driving performance and development
• Provide appropriate feedback on performance
• Maintain accurate and complete records of New Driver's progress and development
• Teach the use of electronic logging equipment
• Communicate necessary information regularly to new Driver and internal staff regarding New Driver's progress and performance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to be a self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.
• Ability to function in a team-based environment.
• Ability to make decisions and take appropriate action.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast paced and changing environment.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 1 year verifiable OTR Driving Experience

Wages:

• Trainer Pay – when you have a trainee - is: $ 350 per day that you have a new Driver in Training
• Cell phone reimbursement - $ 55/day
• Normal CPM Pay when you do not have a trainee
