- Job Title: Civil Design Engineer
- Job Type: Onsite in Santa Fe Springs, CA

- Salary Range: 90,000 Per Year -130,000 Per Year with potential negotiation based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Design and Review:
- Develop and review grading, structural design, plan & profile drawings, foundation design, material & construction specifications.
- Analyze applicable studies (topography, geotechnical, ALTA surveys, environmental impact, corrosion, hydrology reports).
- Conduct QA/QC reviews for completeness and accuracy of design documents.
- Ensure designs meet code compliance, contractual requirements, and construction best practices.
- Review and comment on designs at 30%, 60%, and 90% completion stages.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with Business Development, Estimating, and Engineering teams to create preliminary site layouts and landscape plans.
- Provide technical support for proposals, estimating, procurement, and construction.
- Assist with design and optimization of BESS and solar PV systems to meet project requirements, minimize cost, and propose value.
Field Work and Compliance:
- Perform site visits to verify construction compliance with engineering design drawings.
- Conduct preparatory meetings and QA/QC checks.
- Assist with planning and obtaining permits and regulatory approvals.
Technical Expertise:
- Develop and use engineering calculation tools for equipment and material sizing.
- Review commercial agreements (PPA, Interconnection Agreements, Service Contracts, Facility Studies).
- Maintain documentation of technical data and design records.
Collaboration and Development:
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, Directors, and Operations personnel.
- Attend mandatory training on new products, installation methodologies, and safety.
- Engage with key engineers, suppliers, and industry associations to stay updated on technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Experience: 3+ years of related work experience in Civil Engineering space
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
