Job Description
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
- Load and unload building materials and equipment
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth in preparation for construction
- Cleaning: Washing windows, dusting fixtures, vacuuming floors, polishing stonework, and removing heavy debris
- Moving: Moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Preparing: Removing stickers from appliances, preparing areas for occupancy, and removing protective layers
- Sweeping and mopping: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, hallways, and stairs
- Cleaning bathrooms: Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms and fixtures
- Cleaning outdoor areas: Cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and cutting grass and tending grounds and plants
- Cleaning and preparing a job site as well as loading and delivering materials.
- Working outdoors in all kinds of weather or indoors without heating or air conditioning.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience in performing general labor and construction
- Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
