Job Summary
As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you’ll gain direct experience in process optimization and efficiency strategies while contributing to a core project supporting our external Continuous Improvement functions. Over the course of the three-month program, you’ll partner with leaders and mentors to identify opportunities, streamline workflows, and deliver measurable improvements that align with Carolina Handling’s business goals. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on learning while preparing you for a future career in operations, supply chain, or process improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Ownership: Lead a defined continuous improvement project aligned to departmental goals, presenting outcomes to leadership at the end of the program.
- Process Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Support the design and implementation of creative solutions to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, mentors, and leaders to gain exposure to enterprise-wide business operations.
- Customer & Business Impact: Understand how process changes improve customer satisfaction, reduce waste, and support overall business growth.
- Professional Development: Participate in workshops, networking events, and training sessions designed to build your business acumen.
What We Expect From You
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s program in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May 2026 – August 2026
- Able to work in-office 3x per week in Charlotte, NC or Greenville, SC
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
