Astute is partnering with a leading power plant operator in Massachusetts to recruit a Control Room Operator for its, MA site.

The Control Room Operator role comes with a salary of $80,000 to $120,000 + Bonus Potential.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

• Operate and control the generating capacity of the power plant via the control room.
• Start up, respond to alarms and shut down the plant when needed.
• Work with maintenance to ensure the plant is available for generation.
• Check pressures, temperatures, flow rate, etc via the DCS.
• Repair and calibrate equipment as needed.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Control Room Operator experience.
• DCS experience.
• Class 2 Engineers certificate or Class 3 and willing to work towards Class 2.
• Six years operating experience gained in a power plant setting.
