We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Tax attorney to join our dynamic and growing boutique law firm in a leadership role. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Partner to join our team in New York. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert counsel on federal, state, and international tax matters related to mergers, acquisitions, corporate structuring, and other business transactions.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for business operations, investments, and cross-border transactions.
  • Collaborate with corporate and transactional attorneys to ensure seamless legal solutions for clients.
  • Represent clients in tax audits, disputes, and negotiations with federal and state tax authorities.
  • Mentor and develop associates within the tax practice.
  • Drive business development initiatives, leveraging existing client relationships and cultivating new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous AM200 law firm experience is highly regarded but not necessary.
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate tax law, preferably in a leading law firm or boutique practice.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax law.
  • Strong background in tax aspects of mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and corporate structuring.
  • Proven track record of business development with a portable book of business of approximately $1,000,000 (some flexibility—if just under, please still apply).
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
