Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing standard costing and possess an accounting degree (preferably a CPA). This role is critical in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts while ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain standard cost systems, ensuring accuracy in product costing.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports on variances and cost trends.
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to gather data for cost analysis and optimization.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant cost information.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory valuations and cost structures.
  • Prepare financial reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Support month-end close processes by providing cost-related data and analyses.
  • Comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel (Advanced Formulas, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Advanced Charting, Tables & Formatting, Conditional Formatting, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cost accounting or managerial accounting, with a focus on standard costing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong bias for action with ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow-up, and execute responsibilities on-time.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Acuity and/or RevolutionEHR a plus but not required
  • Salary based on experience
