Job Title: Data Center Technician/Engineer 1 (3-Month Contract)

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Contract Length: 3 months

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Technician/Engineer 1 for a contract position in Greenwood Village, CO. This role is essential to supporting the maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of equipment in our data center environment. As a key player, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of hardware and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data center equipment, a strong aptitude for problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Racking, moving, and removing equipment as necessary
• Replacing failed hardware and components in a timely manner
• Installing fiber, ethernet, coax, and twinax cables to ensure proper connectivity
• Monitoring and balancing power consumption of data center equipment
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment and systems
• Providing technical support to internal customers
• Upholding lab standards and adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders
• Tracking and documenting device installations, moves, and removals
• Using customer relationship management (CRM) software to track requests and incidents
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the team lead

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for equipment handling
• Experience with RF fiber, copper, and ethernet cabling
• Hands-on experience with power-driven tools and data center equipment
• Reliable transportation to commute to the data center location in Greenwood Village
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
