Mid-Level Associate – Debt Finance (Private Credit Focus)

A prestigious, globally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level associate (3–6 years of experience) to join its high-performing Debt Finance practice in New York . This team is a leader in private credit, direct lending, and complex finance transactions , representing a wide range of leading financial institutions, credit funds, and alternative lenders.

This top-ranked Debt Finance group is part of a global platform with over 40 attorneys dedicated to advising on high-value transactions. The team has an outstanding track record of executing multibillion-dollar deals , including direct lending, asset-based lending, rescue financings, junior capital structures, and cross-border financings . Their work regularly supports private equity sponsors, credit funds, and institutional investors in both leveraged and distressed contexts. The practice is deeply integrated with the firm’s broader M&A, restructuring, and capital markets capabilities, offering seamless support for clients across the financial spectrum.

Key Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in private credit, direct lending, and general finance matters
• Exposure to creditor-side transactions , restructurings , and workouts is highly desirable
• Experience with asset-backed or mezzanine financing is a plus
• Strong leadership, drafting, and deal management skills
• Must be admitted to the New York Bar
• Excellent academic credentials and client-facing communication abilities

Compensation:
