Job Description
***MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL SOLAR EXPERIENCE***
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for commercial solar PV installations, including DC, AC, and medium-voltage components.
- Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics to ensure correct installation of all electrical equipment.
- Install and terminate conduit, wire, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure compliance with NEC, company standards, and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with field teams, foremen, and superintendents to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Follow and enforce all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and job hazard analysis procedures.
- Complete daily field reports, material tracking, and time sheets accurately and on time.
- Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians when needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
- Travel to project sites throughout California, often staying overnight or for extended durations depending on project scope.
