Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Energy Management Technician to join our team remotely in Las Vegas, working with our largest data center client. This role involves supporting the installation and commissioning of power monitoring devices and maintaining electrical power monitoring systems. The technician will find creative ways to minimize operational costs and collaborate with team members to improve efficiency. This role requires working with Data Center Operations, App-Dev, Networking, Orders, Sales, Accounting, and Construction teams as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Understanding of electrical systems in a data center environment, including transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, air handling units, cooling towers, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or computer science theory.
- Knowledge of safety requirements for operating a multi-megawatt facility.
- Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, SNMP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Experience in a data center environment. Experience with building operation or building management software.

- Experience with Schneider Electric (VMS).
- Strong cultural fit over knowledge fit.
- Vendor-based training provided, with additional on-the-job training after 90 days.
