About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an Environmental Engineer I in our Water/Wastewater department. We are seeking qualified applicants for an entry-level position in our Crystal Lake, Chicago, Naperville or Mokena, IL office.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

• Detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
• Complete conceptual and preliminary designs using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Studies and design of wastewater system rehabilitation.
• Evaluation and study of water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Preparing potable water and wastewater master planning reports.
• Review and planning of water and wastewater infrastructure improvements and understanding of sustainable design elements as they relate to water and energy conservation and efficiency.

Education Requirement

• 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.

Must-haves, what you will bring

• Minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
• Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
• Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Emphasis in environmental engineering.
• E.I.T (Engineer in Training) License.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $72,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
