Our client, a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor , is seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on ground-up and interior build-out commercial projects throughout the Austin market. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys working collaboratively and influencing projects from the earliest stages.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an Estimator who can play a key role in preconstruction and long-term company success.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Analyze subcontractor bids, scopes, and pricing to ensure completeness and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and ownership during preconstruction.
- Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and value-engineering options.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings and subcontractor outreach.
- Track market pricing, labor, materials, and subcontractor trends.
- Support proposal preparation and client presentations as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Experience estimating ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel (Procore or similar platforms preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
