Job Description

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the preopening phase of Fairmont Udaipur Palace including budgeting forecasting financial planning and analysis and internal controls. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial success and sustainability of the hotel by providing strategic financial guidance and implementing sound financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:  Develop implement and manage comprehensive financial plans budgets and forecasts for the preopening phase in alignment with corporate objectives and industry standards.
  • Financial Reporting:  Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including monthly financial statements variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management and corporate headquarters.
  • Cash Flow Management:  Monitor cash flow projections and liquidity requirements optimize cash resources and implement cash management strategies to ensure adequate funding for preopening activities and ongoing operations.
  • Cost Control:  Implement cost control measures and monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and maximize profitability while maintaining highquality standards.
  • Internal Controls:  Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard assets prevent fraud and ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Risk Management:  Identify assess and mitigate financial risks associated with preopening activities including market risks currency risks and operational risks through proactive risk management strategies.
  • Capital Expenditure Management:  Manage capital expenditure projects evaluate investment opportunities and coordinate with project teams to ensure costeffective allocation of resources and timely completion of projects.
  • Financial Strategy Development:  Develop and recommend financial strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth cost optimization and operational efficiency in collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
  • Team Leadership:  Lead and mentor the finance team members providing guidance coaching and support to foster their professional development and ensure high performance.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles preferably in the hospitality industry or a related field with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles practices and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data analyze trends and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling budgeting forecasting and financial software (e.g. SAP Oracle).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management stakeholders and external partners.
