Advertised Position Title:

FWS - America Reads Tutor (Federal Work-Study)

Job Description:

This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study.

America Reads Tutors work to tutor elementary-age students in reading at local schools or other educational facilities (usually in grades K-3).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Ability to follow instruction.

* Patience, ability to work with young children.

Essential Functions:

* Tutor Elementary age students in reading at local schools or other educational facilities.

* Must be Federal Work-Study eligible. Must pass background check(s) and TB test.

Other Characteristics:

* Positive attitude

Education/Experience:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

* Owens Community College student

Please note that the successful candidates will need to have their own personal transportation to the tutoring site(s).
