Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hospitality Accountant to oversee the financial activities of our hotel and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel accounting and possess excellent organizational skills.

Position Information: Full- time Position, hourly rate of 21.50.

Key Responsibilities:

• Balance night audit reports and manage cashier/server deposits
• Handle bank deposits and research charge backs
• Maintain ATM machine and credit card account sheets
• Prepare and distribute daily and monthly financial reports
• Manage petty cash and conduct food and beverage inventories
• Audit front desk posting master and maintain financial records

Essential Functions:

• Balance night audit reports, count cashier/server deposits and make bank deposits
• Research charge backs and credit card inquiries
• Maintain ATM machine
• Maintain credit card account sheets
• Maintain back-up keys for safe and bank boxes
• Prepare and distribute daily and monthly reports
• Prepare semi-monthly spreadsheets
• Summarize miscellaneous adjustments and income at the end of the month
• Prepare end of month food and beverage inventories
• Verify and expense petty cash purchases
• Maintain and audit front desk posting master

Qualifications for an Hospitality Accountant:

• Minimum of two years hotel accounting experience
• Knowledge of general accounting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong computer skills, including keyboarding/data entry and ten-key
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions
• Capable of working well under pressure
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
