Human Resources Assistant (Bilingual - Spanish Required)
? Long Island City, NY | Hybrid (In-Office First 90 Days)
? Full-Time | Permanent | $65,000-$75,000 (Non-Exempt)

Are you an organized, bilingual HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and values making an impact? We're seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join a well-established building services company in the NYC Metro Area. This role supports executive HR leadership and is integral to ensuring efficient and effective operations across the HR department.

? Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries, providing prompt and professional support.

  • Provide administrative support for workplace investigations, onboarding/offboarding, and HR project initiatives.

  • Maintain highly confidential employee records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and prepare internal communications and presentations.

  • Track HR metrics and manage data using Excel (VLOOKUPs, large datasets).

  • Collaborate with HR leaders on union-related activities and labor relations.

  • Assist with benefits administration, compliance training, and employee engagement efforts.

  • Prepare documentation for audits, unemployment claims, and government reporting.

? What You Bring


  • 3+ years of HR or high-level administrative experience, preferably in a corporate or unionized environment.

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required .

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism.

  • Experience working with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and managing sensitive information.

  • Flexibility to adjust hours for special projects as needed.

? Schedule & Work Environment


  • Hybrid: 3 days/week in office following an initial 90-day, fully in-office training period .

  • Candidates must be comfortable working on-site during onboarding and as needed per department requirements.
