Job Description

This is a newly created role designed to bring dedicated cybersecurity expertise to the IT team. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for improving the organization’s security posture, conducting vulnerability assessments, and interpreting security logs to identify and mitigate risks. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure to infrastructure and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret vulnerability scans; communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyze SIEM logs (CrowdStrike or similar) and extract actionable insights.
• Support Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Office 365 and Windows Server environments.
• Collaborate on compliance initiatives, including Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
• Contribute to IT operations with a focus on security-first practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management and SIEM tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies.
• Preferred: Background in network/system administration.
• Bonus: Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) and familiarity with DoD compliance (e.g., CMCE).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (Green Card holders may be considered).
• Must pass a criminal background check for tribal gaming license eligibility (no felonies).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to $105,000
• 17 days PTO + 8 sick days + holidays (scales with tenure)
• 401(k) with up to 6% match after 1 year
• Heavily subsidized healthcare premiums (~$15–$20 per paycheck)
