Interior Architectural Detailer - Luxury Residential
Winter Park, FL
Soco Interiors is looking for a Interior Architectural Detailer that is a high energy, positive-minded, technical team player, responsible for the development of project specific details and the preparation plus coordination of clear, concise drawings on luxury private custom homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing interior design concepts for ceilings, millwork, tile layout, flooring patterns, etc.
- Collaborate with Director of Interior Architecture and Senior Designers to develop project specific interior architectural designs
- Responsible for producing architectural working drawings including all details for architectural interior projects (including millwork, tile, elevations, plans, sections and RCPs) in accordance with existing standards
- Maintain/organize project files, schedules, and specifications
- Site survey/measures of existing conditions and producing drawings of same
- Work with the entire team, in office and with outside consultants
- Proficient time management and work efficiency to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years design detailing experience; luxury residential projects
- Organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, fast paced team player
- Strong technical and practical AutoCAD skills with an understanding of architectural conventions, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCP, electrical and millwork
- Experience and interest in traditional and modern detailing
- Experience reviewing shop drawings from cabinet and millwork companies
- Strong understanding of and proficiency in producing all schedules
- Job site experience including working with architects, builders and landscape architects, measuring and producing as-built documents
- Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimensions, truss systems, plate heights, HVAC configuration, etc in order to design within the parameters of construction
