Job Description

A prestigious custom home builder/developer is looking for resumes for the role of interior designer. We are seeking a motivated, charismatic, individual to help expand our design team. Candidate must be living in Los Angeles, prepared to be hands on in the field, as well as work well in an office setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible to work with design team in the development and execution of the interior design process for high-end residential properties.

The role will focus on drafting CAD drawings, aiding in communications with clients and various trades, assisting Director of Design in all aspects of the design process. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for purchasing design items, tracking orders, and coordinating deliveries to the field.

Candidate will be responsible for visiting job sites and checking construction progress on a weekly basis.

This is a full time position. Compensation based on experience.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture.

· Minimum 3 years experience in high-end residential design.

· Knowledge of residential construction and skilled in reading construction documents. 

· Demonstrate proficiency in effective communication with clients, architects, vendors and trades people. 

· Comfortable working in team-orientated, collaborative settings as well as working remotely.

· Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail is critical.

· Must have efficient time management skills.

· Must have great follow through.

· Knowledge of Los Angeles area design showrooms and vendors.

· Proficient in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Knowledge of Revit and/or other 3D rendering software is a plus.
