Japanese/English Translator ( バイリンガル翻訳者 ) – Hybrid – Oʻahu, HI

Part-Time Contract | Mostly Remote with Occasional In-Person Events

About the Role

We’re looking for a fluent Japanese speaker with strong conversational English skills to join our team as a Translator. In this role, you’ll help bridge communication with our Japanese-speaking clients, translate marketing materials, and support PR and social media efforts tailored to the Japanese market in Hawaiʻi.

This is a mostly virtual position , but you’ll need to be based on Oʻahu , with the ability to attend occasional in-person meetings and community events.

What You'll Do

• Translate marketing content (digital, print, and social media) from English to Japanese and vice versa
• Assist with in-person communication at client meetings or events
• Provide insights into the Japanese market and help identify new opportunities
• Support social media content creation and communication for Japanese-speaking audiences
• Collaborate with our team to ensure brand messaging resonates across cultures
• Optional: Support public relations or media outreach to Japanese publications

Requirements

• Fluent in Japanese with strong conversational English
• Currently living on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
• Available to attend events or meetings occasionally
• Positive attitude and a strong understanding of Japanese cultural nuance

Bonus Skills

• PR or marketing experience
• Familiarity with the Japanese business community in Hawaiʻi
• Ability to write or adapt copy creatively for a Japanese audience

仕事内容

Astrategy Marketingでは、日本語に堪能で英語での会話が可能なバイリンガル翻訳者を募集しています。英語と日本語の翻訳業務を中心に、クライアント対応、イベント参加、SNSサポートなど、日本市場向けのPR・マーケティング活動もサポートしていただきます。

勤務は主にリモートですが、 オアフ島在住が必須 で、必要に応じてイベントや対面ミーティングへの参加があります。

主な業務内容

• 英語と日本語の間でマーケティング資料やSNSコンテンツの翻訳
• クライアントとのミーティングやイベント時の通訳補助
• ハワイの日本人マーケットへの理解を活かした提案・リサーチ
• 日本語話者向けのSNS投稿やコミュニケーションのサポート
• チームとの連携による、効果的かつ文化に配慮したメッセージ作成
• 希望があれば、日系メディアやPR活動のサポートも可能

応募資格

• 日本語がネイティブレベルで、英語での会話ができる方
• ハワイ・オアフ島在住
• 丁寧な文章力とコミュニケーション能力
• SNS（Instagram、Facebookなど）の基本的な操作ができる方
• 対面イベントやミーティングに参加できる柔軟性
• ポジティブな姿勢と、日本文化への深い理解
