- Experience leading a land survey crew, either as a Crew Chief or Party Chief. - Experience performing various types of surveys, such as Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys.
Job Description:
Insight Global is searching for two Crew Chiefs to support a land surveying client in the Newport News, VA area. This individual would join a morning meeting at the office each day, plan the day's work, and record survey data with a Survey Helper/Instrument Person. Other responsibilities include:
- Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews and participates in all phases of the work of an assigned survey crew.
- Supervises various types of surveys, such as Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, among others.
- Utilizes the robotic and GPS equipment provided to record data efficiently.
- Trains survey crew in technical survey and safety methods, techniques and procedures.
- Keeps accurate notes, records and sketches of work performed and data secured in manual logs, records and forms and in computer-based systems.
