AMPXD is looking for a UX Design Lead to join our team. In this role, you will set the vision for how the team designs the experience for websites and products. You will work collaboratively with other department and functional leads to ensure a successful project and delivery of the project goals. You will oversee our design methodology and internal design system while mentoring and leading the design team. Must be able to work independently, set priorities, and be efficient in a deadline-driven remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading foundational user/stakeholder research and conducting usability testing.

• Leading the development of personas and usage scenarios.

• Leading the production of wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows.

• Overseeing the internal design system.

• Leading client review of design work.

• Managing and mentoring team members.

• Helping to pitch new client work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of creative, or agency experience.

• Thorough understanding of principles of usability and user-centered design.

• Expert knowledge of Figma, Sketch, and design systems.

• Fluency in principles of visual design, including color composition, iconography, typography.

• Demonstrable experience leading the UX for responsive web design and/or complex digital products.

• Degree or certificate in design or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in the interactive design field is acceptable.

• Must have an online portfolio for review.
