Position Overview

The Center for Life Sciences Education (CLSE) within the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks to fill an open annual Lecturer position. The CLSE is home to the largest major within the College of Arts & Sciences with 2,400+ majors. The new lecturer will join a diverse and interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. This position will begin Autumn 2024. This position is open to individuals with a background in a Biological and/or related Life Science area. This position wil be expected to teach or lead four introductory Biology lab based or related recitation courses that included, but are not limited to, Biology 1101, 1110, 1113, 1114, and 3401. The individual will be expected to lead course discussions, assist with overseeing teaching lab experiments, hold office hours, and complete related grading and other course related tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biology or a related life science discipline. Candidates must have strong commitment to teaching at all levels. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to building a culturally diverse intellectual community, in line with OSU’s Shared Values (see below).
