Key Responsibilities:
- Handle case initial investigations and client and case-related communications
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other correspondence
- Manage case files, deadlines, and electronic filings in state and (rarely) federal courts
- Conduct legal research and prepare and send notices, demands, and other prelit communications
- Organize documents for trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination
- Negotiate liens and settlements with third parties
- Assist clients with finding medical providers
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous personal injury litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures from Texas case filing to resolution
- Proficiency in legal research tools
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred, not required.
