Manager, Utilization Management

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a large hospital system. Ensures cost-effective and quality patient care by appropriate utilization of resources. Provides direction to staff, including Outside Utilization, Extended Care, Bed Placement, Discharge Planning, Transportation, and others as assigned.

We are looking for highly skilled, self-motivated individuals with experience leading other nurses in a UM/UR department. Position Purpose: conduct and manage the daily operations of the utilization management (UM) department

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of BSN 3+ years of hospital-based management experience in either ICU/NICU/ED in a hospital setting or actual HOSPITAL case management experience
• Experience including concurrent review and discharge planning
• 3+ years of direct RN management experience
• BSN or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field such as management, or health services administration.
• Registered Nurse License in the state of California
