**About the Role:** We are looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Assembler to join the Electronic Cables & Components business based in Newark, Delaware. Our vision is Highly engaged associates reliably making top quality Microwave Cable assemblies, driving continuous improvements, solving problems, and flowing value to our customers. In this role you will work as part of a team to assemble high performance microwave cable assemblies with very small parts (could be the size of a needle). The shift hours are 2:30pm 11:00pm.
**Responsibilities:**
* Prepare, build and/or inspect cable assemblies according to process documentation and customer specifications
* Follow safety guidelines
* Ensure product quality is excellent for our customers
* Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
* Prioritize conflicting needs throughout the day
* Work independently and within a team
* Learn, support, and practice the Gore Culture
**Required Qualifications:**
* Excellent manual dexterity; hand-to-eye coordination
* Attention to detail and accuracy while making product quality decisions based on documented procedure
* Basic PC skills such as interacting with web applications, navigating operating system, and ability to enter data into computer.
* Intermediate written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to be open to and adapt to change
* Ability to work evening shift with the flexibility to work overtime when dictated by business need
* Ability to confront issues and find resolutions
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
**Desired Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 1 year manufacturing assembly experience
* Experience in manufacturing using very small parts
This position requires access to information or items that are export controlled under U.S. law. The successful candidate will be a U.S. person (meaning a person who is a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States or an asylee or refugee protected by U.S. law) or any offer will be conditioned upon Gore obtaining export control authorization for the candidate under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as required by the position.
