Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN – 6125 E. 21st St

Schedule: Onsite – 5 days onsite. Potential for hybrid in the future!

Duration: 12-month contract to hire

Pay Rate: $40-60/hr DOE

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Mechanical background
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, industrial, aerospace engineering or related fields
• Understanding of engineering drawings - GD&T
• Metal fabrication, automotive, DOD, or Aerospace background

Plusses:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP
• 3D modeling experience
• Mechanical Design experience with CREO or similar CAD tool
• Familiarity with MIL standards

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing and repair of assemblies used on military vehicles for one of our largest aerospace clients. They will be on the floor making sure the floor and production is running smoothly. But also will spend a lot of time behind the desk. There will also be some fixture and tooling design involved.

This candidate needs to have a background in mechanical assemblies, writing work instructions, and shop floor routing. The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer should also be able to understand difficult tech packages, understand how to read engineering drawings and GD&T, and also be familiar with bill of materials. They should be able to support multiple projects, in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
