Mechanic

Location: Alameda, CA

Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $43.00/hour DOE

Shifts Available: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

You are: A skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic with experience working on diesel, bus, heavy-duty, or electric vehicles. You take pride in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of vehicles, and you’re ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic and growing team.

What you will be doing:

• Perform maintenance inspections and make necessary repairs on fleet vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various systems, including air and brake, engine, transmission, differential, suspension, HVAC, cooling, and fuel systems.
• Conduct brake relines for both drum and disc brake systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and time worked.
• Conduct road tests of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and accuracy of repairs.
• Ensure safety and reliability in all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• At least 1 year of recent, verifiable experience as an automotive or heavy-duty mechanic.
• Experience working with zero-emission vehicles is a plus.
• Knowledge of diesel, or electric vehicle systems, including electrical and mechanical components.

Driving Record: No more than two moving violations or accidents in the past three years.
