Job Description

Location: Need to sit onsite in the Nashville office two days a week.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm with occasional Saturdays

Pay: $20-$24 per hour

Type: direct hire

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role requires clinical expertise and the ability to navigate the challenges and ambiguities often present in a startup environment. You will play a crucial part in guiding patients through their reproductive health journey, primarily in an office-based telehealth setting with minimal physical patient interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to patients, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and efficiency.
  • Facilitate smooth interactions with Posterity Health through high-touch scheduling and care coordination.
  • Greet patients at the clinic and ensure they feel welcome and supported.
  • Communicate and educate patients on their lab results, presenting the Posterity Health three-step reproductive workup.
  • Assist patients in starting their reproductive workup, including scheduling appointments and handling payment collection.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming encounters, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support physicians and advanced practice teams in scheduling patients and keeping them on track with their treatment plans and objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of patient referral status and document all interactions in the EMR.
  • Ensure health information is managed in compliance with practice and federal regulations.
  • Track member information, schedules, files, and forms confidentially.
  • Initiate outreach and follow-up procedures for missed appointments as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Appropriate MA certification.
  • Certified Case Manager certification is a plus.
  • Previous care coordinator experience is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Superior clinical assessment and analytical abilities
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • A willingness to expand your technical skill set and adapt to new challenges.
