Role Description

This is a contract role for a Medical Device Test Engineer at Respair, Inc. You will be responsible for working directly with our Engineering team to help develop test protocols, perform functional benchtop testing, and generate comprehensive reports. Respair fabricates physical airway device technology. While these are the primary job responsibilities, as a small startup, you will undoubtedly have opportunities to support other operational and strategic work at the company. The role is located in Pittsburgh, PA at our lab in Bellevue.

Qualifications

• Preferably an Engineering Degree/background, but other disciplines with relevant skills are welcome to apply
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work or laboratory experience
• Familiarity with 3D Printing - SLA and FDA/FFF
• Experience using Fusion360 or equivalent modeling software
• Familiarity with ISO standards and test methods
• Previous experience with medical devices, FDA requirements, and design controls is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

This is initially a 1-3 month contract role with the contract structured to enable a contract-to-full-time transition based on performance.
