Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a leading healthcare network in the triangle of North Carolina, and we are seeking a Medical Technologist II to join the team on the night shift.

About the Role: Join our dynamic team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II where you'll play a crucial role in performing routine and specialized laboratory tests. You'll utilize cutting-edge equipment, instruments, and computer systems to analyze patient samples, providing vital information for disease diagnosis and treatment. Your role will involve significant independent judgment within established testing methods, ensuring accurate evaluation and reporting of patient results. Additionally, you'll contribute to maintaining laboratory equipment, implementing new procedures, and training new staff, making a direct impact on our laboratory's efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests using advanced equipment.
• Evaluate and report patient results with high accuracy and independent judgment.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure precision and reliability of testing.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Manage specific laboratory projects or functions, such as performance improvement and staff development.
• Train and mentor new employees and students on operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and regulatory standards.
• Support administrative tasks and maintain computer systems related to laboratory operations.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in clinical laboratory settings with moderate to high complexity testing experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required; or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with required licensure/certification.
• Certification/Licensure: Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) required.

Work Schedule:

• Wednesday to Tuesday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM (7 days on, 7 days off).
