Overview
The primary role of the Quality Manager is to assist the Chief Medical Officer in ensuring quality care and consistency throughout all six community health centers; as well assist lab directors in ensuring our laboratories and offices are meeting and/or exceeding quality practices as regulated by HRSA and CLIA including but not limited to FTCA
Responsibilities
- Risk Management
- Develop and monitor Quality Improvement plan
- Performance Improvement Committee – develop needed chart audits, review results, report to PI committee, facilitate PI committee meetings, plan improvement actions, monitor outcomes. Also, report to the Board of Directors QI Committee.
- Assist Chief Medical Officer with Health Care Plan for annual grant application
- Assist with annual UDS report through chart auditing, compilation of statistics, and reporting
- Onsite lab compliance checks
- Monthly lab quality control reviews (forwarded to the lab director for approval)
- Annual lab personnel reviews (for competency and continuing education)
- Assist or train nurses for CLIA practices annually through staff development
- Verify lab personnel meet education and training requirements for positions
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
- Experience in internal medicine, Primary care or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and assist with medical imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
