Entry Level Recruiter

Reports To:

Director of Human Resources

Sr. Recruiter

HumCap’s client is seeking a Medical Recruiter with a recent degree in Marketing, Business, or Human Resources. This role is ideal for someone entry-level and interested in learning the fundamentals of full-cycle recruiting, including requisition intake, creating job postings, sourcing, and phone screening.

We are seeking an entry-level Recruiter to assist the Senior Recruiter with recruiting and administrative duties. Recruitment in healthcare is often cyclical, with peak hiring between August and March.

 

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition:

    • Assist in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the healthcare industry.
    • Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct outreach.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future staffing needs.
  • Candidate Screening:

    • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
    • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate suitability and interest.
    • Schedule and conduct interviews, both in-person and virtual, to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand specific staffing requirements.
    • Coordinate with HR team members to streamline recruitment processes and improve efficiency.
    • Arrange interviews with department heads and facilitate communication between candidates and interviewers.
  • Candidate Experience:

    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
    • Provide timely feedback to candidates and keep them informed of their application status.
    • Manage the offer process, including negotiating salary and employment terms.
  • Compliance and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities and candidate interactions.
    • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with relevant employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare recruitment reports and metrics for review by HR management.
  • Employer Branding:

    • Promote the organization as an employer of choice within the healthcare industry.
    • Participate in job fairs, career events, and other networking opportunities.
    • Develop and distribute recruitment marketing materials.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in HR or healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Entry-level position; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Experience in recruitment or human resources is preferred but not required.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of healthcare roles and requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to travel as needed for recruitment events and meetings.
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with potential for remote work.
  • Regular business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Some travel may be required.
