Role: Microsoft Fabric Data Architect

Location: Minneapolis, MN.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to join our dynamic team and contribute to our data-driven initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Design and architect data transformation and processing solutions in Fabric Spark engine using PySpark and SQL.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Architect and optimize data models within Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Design semantic models and data visualizations and reports using Power BI.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes.
• Monitor and fix data workflows to ensure efficient performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric.
• Proficient in Azure Data Factory.
• Expertise in PySpark and SQL for data processing.
• Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization.
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes. Real time integration experience.
• Azure SQL Database and SQL Server experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or a similar role.
• Prior experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Databricks.
• Certifications in DP-600 (Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate) and DP-700 (Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate) are highly desirable.
• Purview experience highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary and Other Compensation :

Applications will be accepted until March 30, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $ 102,820 - $ 214,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
