Onward Search is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school district in Yakima, WA for the 2025-2026 school year . This full-time, impactful role focuses on supporting students in developing essential motor and daily living skills, which will empower their success both in the classroom and beyond.

Location: Yakima, WA

Start Date: August 4, 2025

Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours per day

Grade Levels: PreK-12

Opportunity Overview:

As an Occupational Therapist in this school district, you will play a key role in helping students develop the skills they need to thrive. You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom activities and provide individualized care. Your efforts will make a lasting difference in students' academic and life success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, provide interventions, and deliver therapy to enhance students' fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
• Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Work closely with educators, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines and support overall student development.
• Monitor student progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to foster student independence and active participation in school activities.

Qualifications:

• Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Washington State OT license (documentation required).
• Must have or be eligible for a Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate .
