Job Summary:

We seek a skilled and dedicated Adult Occupational Therapist to join our team part-time. As an Adult Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat adult patients to help them regain independence in their daily activities. You will work closely with individuals with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges to develop personalized treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in adult rehabilitation and a passion for improving the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of adult patients' functional abilities, including physical, cognitive, and emotional capacities.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address patients' needs and goals.
• Conduct regular re-evaluations to track progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Assist patients in improving skills and abilities related to activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, eating, and grooming.
• Teach compensatory techniques and provide adaptive equipment to enhance independence and safety.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies and adaptive strategies for daily activities.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education, attending workshops, and staying updated with the latest research and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in adult rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of adult anatomy, physiology, and joint conditions affecting the adult population.
• Proficient in conducting assessments and interpreting assessment findings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently while managing multiple patients and priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it).

Pay: $65,000 - $74,000

Expected visits: 10 - 15 per week

Hours per week: 15- 25

• Monday to Friday
