This role is for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist working in a hospital outpatient clinic. The therapist will provide occupational therapy services to pediatric patients. This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Perform patient assessments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Document patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Assist patients in their routine activities of daily living.
- Perform range of motion exercises.
- Ambulate patients.
- Position patients and provide skin care.
- Assist with feeding and meal delivery.
- Assist with routine hygiene care, including toileting and incontinent care, as well as appropriate oral and personal hygiene.
- Collect patient data and specimens.
- Obtain and record weights, vital signs, including pulse oximetry and pain assessment and I&O.
- Communicate patient status and report changes in patient condition to licensed professional.
- Perform incentive spirometry.
- Transport patients.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests.
- Assist rehab therapists.
- Perform pulse oximetry/oxygen set up in oxygen therapy.
- Prepare rooms (supplies).
- Provide post-mortem care.
- Prepare for admission and discharge.
- Assist nurses in emergency situations.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform suction (oral, naso pharynx).
- Perform blood sugar finger sticks.
- Remove IV catheters per licensed nurse instruction.
- Perform EKGs (department specific responsibility).
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 2 years of Pediatric Occupational Therapy experience
- BLS certification
- NBCOT certification
- WA OT License
