Job Description

If you are an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) who wants to be part of an amazing culture while making a genuine difference, then look no further than Boulder Post Acute, in Boulder, CO. We are looking for a friendly and compassionate OTA to join our team as an OTA-PRN!

The Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant assists the Staff Occupational Therapist with patient related activities and direct patient care.
Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.

Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board.

Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.

Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.

Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.

Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility.

Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third-party payer requirements.

Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.

Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.

Participate in discharge planning.

Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.

Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.

Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State.

Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
Must be a graduate of an accredited 2-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.

CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Salary: $35-$40/per hour
