Job Description
Established Union Commercial and Residential subcontractor is looking to add an experienced Plaster Estimator to the team.
We currently perform Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Acoustical, Insulation, and Paint.

Preferred Estimating Scopes:
Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, bid packages, and project specifications to develop detailed plaster estimates
- Quantity take-offs and bid submission with all required bid documents
- Attend pre-bid job walk meetings
- Negotiate contract pricing and terms
- Create materials and labor estimate takeoffs
- Quantify our scope of work using On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid software
- Using QuickBid software - prepare estimates, submit bid proposals, and forward budgets to accounting on awarded jobs.
- Track market trends, material costs, and industry standards to refine estimating strategies
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with General Contractors and suppliers. Seek out new General Contractors and suppliers.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to assess project scope, feasibility, and risk factors
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years estimating experience in Plaster
- Working knowledge of contract documents
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong knowledge of plastering materials, application techniques, and union labor rates
- Experience working with union contractors and understanding of collective bargaining agreements is a plus
