Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically knowledgeable Podiatry Case Reviewer to assess their patient cases and determine their eligibility for participation in clinical trials. This role is responsible for reviewing medical records, with a focus on podiatric conditions, and applying inclusion/exclusion (I/E) criteria to identify qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities: - Review patient medical records, including podiatric history, diagnoses, lab results, imaging, and treatment notes.
- Apply clinical trial protocols and I/E criteria to evaluate patient eligibility.
- Accurately document and justify inclusion or exclusion decisions for each reviewed case.
- Collaborate with study coordinators, investigators, and recruitment teams to clarify criteria or obtain additional information.
- Maintain current knowledge of assigned clinical trials, including protocol amendments and updates to I/E criteria.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Participate in case discussions or meetings with medical and research staff as needed.
Qualifications: - Required:
- Clinical background (e.g., DPM, RN, PA, MD, or equivalent clinical training in podiatry or a related field)
- 2+ years of experience reviewing medical records or participating in clinical research
- Familiarity with podiatric terminology and diagnoses (e.g., diabetic foot ulcers, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, etc.)
- Access to a database of patients.
- Understanding of clinical trial design and I/E criteria application
