Description
Position Title: Prism Co-Editor
Reports to: Prism Faculty Advisor (Dr. Kelly Ann Jacobson)
Job Overview: Prism Co-Editors will work independently to run Prism reader meetings, organize submissions, and create and edit the content of the Prism.
Hours/Week: 2 - 5 hours per week
Responsibilities and Duties: - Raise interest in staffing and submissions
- Organize submissions
- Select art for the cover
- Send out acceptances and rejections
- Put together the Prism draft and edit proofs
- Enter hours in the university’s pay system
- Organize the spring Prism reading
- Communicate with the Faculty Advisor regularly about progress
Qualifications
Qualifications: - Co-editors should have taken at least one upper-division, creative writing class.
- They must be available for an average of two hours every week and for longer amounts of time at key parts of the production schedule for quick editorial turnarounds.
- Previous experience reading for Prism is strongly preferred.
